No. 69 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Memories of a life filled with joyful times and meaningful accomplishments remain to comfort the family and friends of Carol Lee Stanley of Tyler, who passed away on April 5, 2012, at the age of 70; and WHEREAS, A native of Jacksonville, Carol Stanley was born on March 2, 1942, to R. E. and Sybil Bynum Parmley; she had a notable career with Southwestern Bell and AT&T that spanned nearly four decades; active in her professional community, she served as an officer in the Communications Workers of America Local No. 6214 and was a member of the AT&T Pioneers; and WHEREAS, Ms. Stanley was supported in all her endeavors by a loving family that included her husband, Glynne Stanley, and her four children, Wendy, Rusty, Kristy, and Shannon; in her free time, she enjoyed traveling, crocheting, and gardening, and she especially loved spending time with her seven grandchildren; and WHEREAS, Although Carol Stanley is deeply missed, those fortunate enough to have known her will always remember her with great admiration and affection; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the memory of Carol Lee Stanley and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her husband, Glynne Roy Stanley; to her children, Wendy Hale and her husband, Mike, Rusty Killian and his wife, Staci, Kristy Payne and her husband, Glenn, and Shannon Mackay; to her mother, Sybil Parmley; to her sister, Billie Sue Sowle, and her husband, Dwight; to her grandchildren, Justin and Jennifer Hale, Nathan, Natalie, and Logan Payne, Cason Killian, and Ashley Mackay; and to her other relatives and friends; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Carol Stanley.
