                            SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 109
 In Memory
 of
 Brenda Rae Henderson Hudnall
 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the
 citizens of Houston in mourning the loss of Brenda Rae Henderson
 Hudnall, who died May 21, 2013, at the age of 54; and
 WHEREAS, Brenda Henderson was born on January 5, 1959; she
 graduated from Skidmore College and came to Texas in 1983 to earn
 a degree from the Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas
 Southern University; she married Earlie Hudnall, Jr., while
 still in law school, and the couple was blessed with a daughter,
 Margaret Elise, in 2005; and
 WHEREAS, Brenda worked for the United States Department of
 Justice as an immigration officer and later established a career
 in the food services industry; she successfully managed several
 restaurants and served as area manager of Food Services for the
 Houston Independent School District; her most recent position
 was that of food service director at Eurest, a division of
 Compass Group; and
 WHEREAS, Brenda enjoyed traveling and visiting art
 collections and pursuing her culinary interests and talents; she
 was famous for a number of special dishes she would cook for
 family and friends, and everyone felt welcome around her kitchen
 table, where they enjoyed fellowship and conversation; she also
 spent time gardening and planting flowers and was an active
 member of the University Museum at Texas Southern University; and
 WHEREAS, She was a highly accomplished lady and a faithful
 member of Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church; she was devoted to
 her family, and she leaves behind memories that will be treasured
 forever by all who were privileged to share in her life; now,
 therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd
 Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby extend sincere
 condolences to the bereaved family of Brenda Rae Henderson
 Hudnall; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
 her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas
 Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in
 memory of Brenda Hudnall.
