SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 111 In Memory of Timothy I. O'Hearn WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the citizens of Austin in mourning the loss of Timothy I. O'Hearn, who died June 13, 2013, at the age of 63; and WHEREAS, Tim O'Hearn was born to Roberta H. O'Hearn and William J. O'Hearn on January 5, 1950, in Omaha, Nebraska; he grew up to become a beloved patriarch, a highly successful businessman, and a philanthropist who took great joy in helping others; and WHEREAS, For 35 years, Tim served as president of Austin Foam Plastics, a company he helped to build and grow from the ground up; he was noted for his interest in his employees' quality of life, and he worked hard to expand the scope of his business, in part for their benefit and that of their families; and WHEREAS, Tim was devoted to his mother, his daughters, his grandchildren, his brothers and sisters, and his many nieces and nephews, and he was a source of strength, joy, and encouragement to all of them; and WHEREAS, He gave generously to numerous charitable causes and philanthropic organizations, and he sought to enrich the lives of others in whatever way he could; he lived his life to the fullest and enjoyed his worldly travels, and he took great pride in the success and achievements of his loved ones; and WHEREAS, He was an exemplary gentleman and a kindhearted person who was beloved by many, and he will be greatly missed by all who were privileged to share in his life; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved family of Timothy I. O'Hearn; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Tim O'Hearn.
