SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 112
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pleasure in
recognizing Christina Moreno, who is retiring after 42 years of
outstanding service in the field of education; and
WHEREAS, Christina is retiring from her position as
principal at Incarnate Word Academy after having served as
principal for 25 years; and
WHEREAS, She began her career in education in 1971 at Saint
Theresa Catholic School in Corpus Christi; she moved to
Brownsville in 1977 when she began serving as a teacher at
Immaculate Conception School; she joined Incarnate Word Academy
in the mid-1980s and was named principal in 1988; and
WHEREAS,

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend Christina Moreno
on her successful career in the field of education and on her many
contributions to the Incarnate Word Academy and extend best
wishes to her for the retirement years ahead; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
