SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 125
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Sammy L. Carolina and Dyveonne R. "Dee" Carolina on the
grand occasion of their 21st wedding anniversary on July 8, 2013;
and
WHEREAS, Sammy and Dyveonne were married in Baytown,
Harris County, Texas, on July 8, 1992, by the Honorable Tony
Polumbo, justice of the peace of Precinct 3-2; and
WHEREAS, Both Sammy and Dyveonne are admired and respected
by their community and are noted for their outstanding and
invaluable community service; and
WHEREAS, Over the years, their devotion to each other has
only grown stronger as they have experienced the joys and sorrows
of everyday living and have thrived in their fulfilling life
together; and
WHEREAS, Sammy and Dyveonne have been blessed with a
wonderful family, and they take much pride in their daughter,
Germaintrel LaQuan Smith, son-in-law, Robert E. Lee Smith, and
grandson, Bryson L. Smith; and
WHEREAS, Sammy and Dyveonne are known for their strong
faith and religious beliefs and for their deep love of one
another, and their long and happy union is truly an inspiration
to us all; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED,
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
this distinguished couple as a memento of this special day in
their lives.
