SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 37
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Lee G. Hobbs, who has been named chief information
officer for TransCanada; and
WHEREAS, TransCanada is a leader in the development and
operation of North American energy infrastructure, including
natural gas and oil pipelines, power generation, and gas storage
facilities; and
WHEREAS,
WHEREAS, Mr. Hobbs is a chartered accountant with the
Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta and holds a
bachelor of commerce degree, with distinction, from the
University of Calgary; and
WHEREAS, His financial expertise and executive experience
have played an important role in the growth and success of
TransCanada, and he is truly deserving of recognition for his
outstanding contributions to the company; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend Lee G. Hobbs on
his exemplary achievements and extend to him best wishes for
continued success in all his endeavors; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
