SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 38
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Alosha Landon Prettyman and welcome him to the Lone
Star State as a beloved member of the Prettyman family; and
WHEREAS, Alosha Landon arrived in Texas on May 24, 2013,
from the Ukraine; he was heartily welcomed by his adoptive
parents, the Reverend Rick Prettyman and his wife, Julie
Prettyman; and
WHEREAS, The arrival of Landon and his sister, Svetlana
Grace Prettyman, has brought great happiness to Reverend and Mrs.
Prettyman, as well as to their three children, Lauren, Morgan,
and Logan; and
WHEREAS, Reverend Prettyman is the pastor of Aldersgate
Church in Greenville, and in addition to his and Julie's extended
family and friends, the members of the Aldersgate congregation
will no doubt joyfully welcome the arrival of Landon and Svetlana
and serve as a source of support to them as they embark on their
new life in America; and
WHEREAS, It is truly fitting that the Texas Senate welcome
Landon and his sister as treasured new citizens of the Lone Star
State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby extend congratulations
to the Reverend Rick Prettyman and Julie Prettyman and warm
greetings to Alosha Landon Prettyman with best wishes for much
future happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
the Prettyman family as an expression of regard from the Texas
Senate.
