SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 73
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Liz Poster, who is retiring as dean of The University
of Texas at Arlington College of Nursing after 18 years of
outstanding service; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Poster became dean of the College of Nursing
in 1995; under her exceptional leadership, enrollment has
increased more than tenfold, and she has played an important role
in addressing the state and national nursing shortages while
preparing prospective nurses for their careers; and
WHEREAS,

RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend Liz Poster on her
outstanding service as dean of The University of Texas at
Arlington College of Nursing and extend to her best wishes for
continued success in all her endeavors; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
her as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
