SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 76 In Memory of Mary Ann Walsh McMillan Reaugh WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the citizens of Fort Worth in mourning the loss of Mary Ann Walsh McMillan Reaugh, who died May 24, 2013, at the age of 84; and WHEREAS, Mary Ann Walsh was born in Fort Worth on December 31, 1928; a 1946 graduate of Paschal High School, she married David McMillan on December 15, 1948, and the couple raised three children, David, Donna, and Alicia; and WHEREAS, She was an exemplary housewife and mother during the 30 years of their marriage, and after Mr. McMillan's unexpected death, she stepped into the role of business owner and managed the family's successful grocery business for more than a year; and WHEREAS, She later married O. H. Reaugh of Breckenridge, with whom she shared a wonderful decade of traveling and spending time with family; she was a devout Christian who practiced her faith in her daily life, and she was a longtime member of Broadway Baptist Church; she was also a member of many clubs and organizations in both Fort Worth and Breckenridge; and WHEREAS, A woman of courage, strength, and compassion, she gave unselfishly to others, and her wisdom, warmth, and valued counsel will not be forgotten; and WHEREAS, She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and she leaves behind memories that will be treasured forever by her family and many friends; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved family of Mary Ann Walsh McMillan Reaugh; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Mary Ann Walsh McMillan Reaugh.
