H.R. No. 11
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Dabi Reyna, Jr., a senior at Robstown High School,
has been named a recipient of a Presidential Series Scholarship
from Texas A&M University--Kingsville; and
WHEREAS, Awarded to students who have been accepted into
A&M--Kingsville, Presidential Series Scholarships are bestowed on
young men and women who rank in the top 25 percent of their senior
class and who achieve high scores on college entrance exams; and
WHEREAS, A migrant student and the child of a single-parent
household, Mr. Reyna has impressed his teachers with his
dedication, positive attitude, and academic ability; he carries a
demanding course load of college preparatory courses, and he plans
to pursue a degree in the biomedical field; and
WHEREAS, Dabi Reyna has brought great credit to his school
and his family, and his hard work and commitment to excellence have
opened the way to limitless opportunities for this remarkable young
Texan; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby congratulate Dabi Reyna,
Jr., on receiving a Presidential Series Scholarship and extend to
him sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Reyna as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
