H.R. No. 128
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Gary Clack of Georgetown has earned a Texas Armed
Services Scholarship for the 2013-2014 academic year; and
WHEREAS, The Texas Armed Services Scholarship Program
provides support for students who participate in an ROTC program at
a civilian institution of higher learning and who commit to four
years of military service after college; and
WHEREAS, A 2013 graduate of Georgetown High School, Mr. Clack
was student body president and a member of the student council; he
was on the football team for four years and earned recognition as an
Academic All-District player during his senior year; he also
participated in track and field and powerlifting; moreover, he was
a member of the school's president's council and was vice president
of the engineering club; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Clack will be continuing his education at Texas
A&M University, where he plans to join the Corps of Cadets and
pursue a career in the military; and
WHEREAS, Exciting challenges and opportunities await this
outstanding young Texan, and he may indeed take great pride in his
achievements as he embarks upon a future bright with promise; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby congratulate Gary Clack on
receiving a Texas Armed Services Scholarship and extend to him
sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Clack as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
