H.R. No. 138
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Richard and Paula Hopson of Lubbock celebrated their
50th wedding anniversary on July 19, 2013, and they may indeed
reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared;
and
WHEREAS, Richard Hopson and the former Paula Wright exchanged
the vows of matrimony at Sanborn Baptist Church in Amarillo in 1963,
and over the course of their marriage, they have found in each other
a loving life partner; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Hopson count among their blessings a
fine family that includes two daughters, Robin Weis and her
husband, Kevin, and Rebecca Bullock and her husband, Brack, as well
as five grandchildren, with whom they treasure sharing many special
occasions; and
WHEREAS, For half a century, Richard and Paula Hopson have
brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it
is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby congratulate Richard and
Paula Hopson on their golden wedding anniversary and extend to them
sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Hopson as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
