SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 22
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Dr. Dana Carson for his exemplary service to Reflections of
Christ's Kingdom World Outreach International; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Carson serves as senior pastor of the church,
also known as the ROCK, in Alvin, Texas; as an apostle, he also
provides oversight for more than 100 congregations around the
world located in Texas, Mississippi, New York, the Philippines,
Cameroon, Liberia, and South Africa; and
WHEREAS, A native of the South Side of Chicago, Dr. Carson
has overcome tremendous obstacles to achieve his ministerial
position; although he dropped out of high school, he went on to
earn degrees from Wiley College and Oral Roberts University, as
well as three doctoral degrees, including a doctorate of ministry
from Boston University; and
WHEREAS, Due to his leadership, Reflections of Christ's
Kingdom World Outreach International has had a profound influence on
the lives of countless people; in addition, through DCM Consulting,
he has worked to help churches grow and develop effective ministries;
he also established Carson Kingdom Institute, an online Bible
college that helps laypeople receive a firm foundation in Biblical
doctrine and ministerial training; and
WHEREAS, An accomplished scholar and theologian, Dr. Carson
has devoted his time and energy unselfishly to the members of his
church and to people around the world; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd
Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby commend Dr. Dana Carson
on his exceptional ministry and his outstanding service as senior
pastor of Christ's Kingdom World Outreach International in Alvin
and extend to him best wishes for continued success in all his
endeavors; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
him as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
