SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 23
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize the members of the Prairie View A&M University Chamber
Choir from 1968 through 1971 on the occasion of their alumni
reunion, which is taking place July 18 through 20, 2013, in
Houston; and
WHEREAS, This reunion provides an opportunity for choir
members to reminisce about the adventures and the fellowship they
shared while attending this exemplary institute of higher
education; and
WHEREAS, In gathering to commemorate their college years,
members are expressing their commitment to tradition, unity, and
loyal friendship; they will once again lift their voices in song,
and they will share their remembrances of their beloved director,
Dr. Robert Henry; and
WHEREAS, The members of the Chamber Choir have gone on to
become leaders and productive members of their communities, and
they are justly proud of their many achievements and contributions
to society; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd
Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby commend the members of
the Prairie View A&M University Chamber Choir on their many
accomplishments and extend to them best wishes for a memorable
and rewarding alumni reunion; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared in
honor of this special occasion.
