SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 40
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize the Grayson County Alzheimer's Caregiver Respite Time
Out Program of the Texoma Council of Governments Area Agency on
Aging; and
WHEREAS, The program provides services to citizens with
Alzheimer's disease or related dementia, as well as to their
caregivers; millions of people in the United States have been
diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease or dementia; and
WHEREAS, The Time Out Program improves the quality of life for
Grayson County patients with these diseases and for their caregivers
by providing them with respite care, support and friendship, and
mental and physical stimulation; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd
Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby commend the Grayson
County Alzheimer's Caregiver Respite Time Out Program of the
Texoma Council of Governments Area Agency on Aging for its
exceptional contributions to the area's residents and extend
best wishes to all associated with the program for continued
success in the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
this program as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
