SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 45 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize Blanche Nedd, who retired January 31, 2013, after 34 years of outstanding service with the United States Postal Service; and WHEREAS, Blanche began her postal career on June 30, 1979, as a clerk in the Computerized Forwarding System department at the main post office in Dallas; and WHEREAS, Over the course of her career, she became known for her expertise in the field of customer service; she was a member of the city's original Zip Plus Four team and earned numerous awards and commendations for her exemplary work; and WHEREAS, Dedicated and capable, she handled her many duties with remarkable efficiency and professionalism; her commitment to her job and to the postal service served as an example to all those with whom she worked; and WHEREAS, An exemplary employee, she earned the esteem of her colleagues, and her presence at the United States Postal Service will be greatly missed; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby commend Blanche Nedd on her exceptional service as an employee of the United States Postal Service and extend to her best wishes for continued success in all her endeavors; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for her as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
