SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 47 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize Barbara A. Henderson, who retired January 31, 2013, after 32 years of outstanding service with the United States Postal Service; and WHEREAS, Barbara began her postal career on April 19, 1980, as a clerk in the Computerized Forwarding System department at the main post office in Dallas; and WHEREAS, Throughout her career, she was noted for her superior customer service skills and expertise; she was a member of the city's first Zip Plus Four crew and was part of a mail processing operations team that achieved a first place national ranking for meeting and exceeding high production standards; and WHEREAS, Talented and resourceful, she handled her many responsibilities with exceptional efficiency and dedication; in addition to her regular duties, she served as secretary to the department head in finance, and she earned awards, certificates, and recognition for her excellent service and her attendance; and WHEREAS, An exemplary employee, she earned the respect and admiration of her colleagues, and her presence at the United States Postal Service will be greatly missed; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby commend Barbara A. Henderson on her exceptional service as an employee of the United States Postal Service and extend to her best wishes for continued success in all her endeavors; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
