SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 54 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize Antonio C. Luna, who is retiring July 31, 2013, from the Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts after 31 years of outstanding service to the state; and WHEREAS, Over the course of his career in state service, Mr. Luna has held a variety of important positions, and he is retiring as an Audit Division manager; and WHEREAS, Throughout his tenure with the state, he has been noted for his superior organizational skills and auditing expertise; he established relationships with universities and colleges across the state and played an important role in recruiting numerous auditors to state service; and WHEREAS, Talented and resourceful, Mr. Luna has handled his many responsibilities with exceptional efficiency and dedication; he served on the Audit Division's Management and Advisory Committee, where his extensive knowledge and experience have played a vital role in guiding the agency; and WHEREAS, An exemplary public servant, he is respected and admired by his colleagues, and his presence at the Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts will be greatly missed; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby commend Antonio C. Luna on his exceptional service to the people of Texas as an employee of the Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts and extend to him best wishes for continued success in all his endeavors; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
