SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 55
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Trinity Gardens Church of Christ on the grand occasion
of its 60th anniversary, which is being celebrated August 3,
2013; and
WHEREAS, The church was established in 1953 as an outreach
ministry of North Wayside Church of Christ by the late Brother M.
C. Daniels, Sr., and his wife, Trudy Daniels; it was incorporated
as Trinity Gardens Church of Christ in 1968; and
WHEREAS, Though this beloved church had humble beginnings
at a member's home, the congregation has grown to include some
1,200 members, and the church campus now encompasses more than
36,000 square feet of facility space on nine acres of land; and
WHEREAS, As a dedicated community partner, Trinity Gardens
Church of Christ offers a variety of outreach services and
recently provided space for the new Trinity Gardens Community
Playground and Garden; and
WHEREAS, The commemoration of its 60th anniversary is an
expression of the church's enduring commitment to its mission of
providing enlightenment and hope to its congregation and the
community; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd
Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby extend best wishes to the
ministers and members of Trinity Gardens Church of Christ on the
joyous occasion of its 60th anniversary; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
the church as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
