SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 16
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize UniverSoul Circus, which is performing in Dallas
August 7 through 11 on the 2013 Turn't Up Tour; and
WHEREAS, This unique, highly interactive show combining
circus arts, theater, and music has been named among the top 10 of
Ticketmaster's most requested family events in the United States
for five consecutive years; and
WHEREAS, This year, captivating performances will be
presented within a newly designed big top tent constructed
exclusively for the unique sensory attractions offered by
UniverSoul Circus; with spectacular lights and music and a cast
of A-list performers from across the globe, the circus promises
to delight audiences in an intimate theater-in-the-round
setting; and
WHEREAS, UniverSoul Circus is rated as one of the top three
circuses in America; its fresh approach to family-friendly
entertainment has garnered widespread acclaim, and it is truly
fitting that the circus be honored while touring our great state;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby welcome UniverSoul
Circus to Texas and extend best wishes to all associated with the
show on their Turn't Up Tour; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
them as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
