The bill would amend Government Code to reduce the threshold of reporting of a personal financial statement and require the statement to be filed electronically with the Ethics Commission. The bill would also require the Ethics Commission to make the personal financial statements available on the Commission's website within 15 days after the statement is filed or required to be filed. The agency indicates that it could absorb the costs associated with the bill within its current resources. The bill would take effect immediately upon receiving two-thirds majority vote in each house. Otherwise, the bill would take effect September 1, 2015.
