                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            May 15, 2015      TO: Honorable Robert Nichols, Chair, Senate Committee on Transportation      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB1128 by Fletcher (Relating to the issuance of specialty license plates for recipients of the Combat Action Badge, Medal, or Ribbon.), As Engrossed    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Transportation Code to require the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to issue specialty license plates for recipients of the Combat Action Badge, Combat Action Medal, and Combat Action Ribbon. The bill would require the DMV to issue Disabled Veteran license plates depicting an emblem from a specialty plate established by this bill to which a person is entitled.Based on the analysis of the DMV, it is assumed any costs or duties associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within the agency's existing resources.
