                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            March 16, 2015      TO: Honorable Dennis Bonnen, Chair, House Committee on Ways & Means      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB1261 by King, Susan (Relating to the comptroller's report on the effect of certain tax provisions.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend Chapter 403, Government Code, to provide additional requirements for the Comptroller of Public Accounts when preparing the report required under Section 403.014 regarding the effect of exemptions, discounts, exclusions, special valuations, special accounting treatments, special rates, and special methods of reporting relating to certain taxes. The Comptroller of Public Accounts indicates that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed within the agency's existing resources.
