104 AN ACT
115 relating to the comptroller's report on the effect of certain tax
126 provisions.
137 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
148 SECTION 1. Section 403.014, Government Code, is amended by
159 adding Subsection (a-1) to read as follows:
1610 (a-1) In preparing the report under Subsection (a), if
1711 actual data is not available, the comptroller shall use available
1812 statistical data to estimate the effect of an exemption, discount,
1913 exclusion, special valuation, special accounting treatment,
2014 special rate, or special method of reporting relating to a tax. If
2115 the report states that the effect of a particular tax preference
2216 cannot be determined, the comptroller must include in the report a
2317 complete explanation of why the comptroller reached that
2418 conclusion.
2519 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015.
