13 | 7 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
14 | 8 | SECTION 1. Subchapter D, Chapter 504, Transportation Code, | |
15 | 9 | is amended by adding Section 504.320 to read as follows: | |
16 | 10 | Sec. 504.320. COMMENDATION MEDAL RECIPIENTS. The | |
17 | 11 | department shall issue specialty license plates for recipients of | |
18 | 12 | the Commendation Medal for each branch of the military and for joint | |
19 | 13 | service. License plates issued under this section must include the | |
20 | 14 | emblem of the appropriate medal and must include the name of the | |
21 | 15 | medal at the bottom of each plate. | |
22 | 16 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect January 1, 2016. | |
