| 13 | 7 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 14 | 8 | | SECTION 1. Subchapter Z, Chapter 51, Education Code, is |
|---|
| 15 | 9 | | amended by adding Section 51.9746 to read as follows: |
|---|
| 16 | 10 | | Sec. 51.9746. INTERNET ACCESS TO EMPLOYMENT DATA. (a) In |
|---|
| 17 | 11 | | this section, "general academic teaching institution" and "public |
|---|
| 18 | 12 | | state college" have the meanings assigned by Section 61.003. |
|---|
| 19 | 13 | | (b) Each general academic teaching institution other than a |
|---|
| 20 | 14 | | public state college shall maintain in a prominent location on the |
|---|
| 21 | 15 | | institution's Internet website a link to the Texas Consumer |
|---|
| 22 | 16 | | Resource for Education and Workforce Statistics ("Texas CREWS") |
|---|
| 23 | 17 | | report on gainful employment applicable to the institution for the |
|---|
| 24 | 18 | | most recent year for which that report is available. |
|---|
| 25 | 19 | | SECTION 2. Each general academic teaching institution other |
|---|
| 26 | 20 | | than a public state college shall comply with Section 51.9746, |
|---|
| 27 | 21 | | Education Code, as added by this Act, as soon as practicable |
|---|
| 28 | 22 | | following the effective date of this Act, but not later than |
|---|
| 29 | 23 | | February 1, 2016. |

| 30 | 24 | | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|---|
| 31 | 25 | | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|---|
| 32 | 26 | | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|---|
| 33 | 27 | | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|---|
| 34 | 28 | | Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
