55 AN ACT
66 relating to regional coordinators within the veteran entrepreneur
77 program.
88 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
99 SECTION 1. Section 434.022, Government Code, is amended by
1010 adding subsections (c-1) and (f):
1111 (c-1) The program shall establish regional coordinators in
1212 major centers of economic growth to provide the services described
1313 in Subsection (c).
1414 (d) The executive director of the commission shall appoint a
1515 program coordinator to administer the program.
1616 (e) The commission shall provide facilities as appropriate
1717 in support of the program to the extent funding is available for
1818 that purpose.
1919 (f) The program shall consult with the United States
2020 Department of Veterans Affairs and the United States Small Business
2121 Administration in developing procedures under this section to
2222 ensure the services provided by this program do not duplicate
2323 services provided through the United States Department of Veterans
2424 Affairs or the United States Small Business Administration.

2626 ECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
2727 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
2828 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
2929 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
3030 Act takes effect September 1, 2015.
