| 8 | 8 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 9 | 9 | | SECTION 1. Section 434.022, Government Code, is amended by |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | adding subsections (c-1) and (f): |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | (c-1) The program shall establish regional coordinators in |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | major centers of economic growth to provide the services described |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | in Subsection (c). |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | (d) The executive director of the commission shall appoint a |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | program coordinator to administer the program. |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | (e) The commission shall provide facilities as appropriate |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | in support of the program to the extent funding is available for |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | that purpose. |

| 19 | 19 | | (f) The program shall consult with the United States |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Department of Veterans Affairs and the United States Small Business |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Administration in developing procedures under this section to |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | ensure the services provided by this program do not duplicate |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | services provided through the United States Department of Veterans |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Affairs or the United States Small Business Administration. |

| 26 | 26 | | ECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
|---|
