| 9 | 9 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 25.0331(a), Government Code, is amended | |
| 11 | 11 | to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | (a) Cameron County has the following statutory county | |
| 13 | 13 | courts: | |
| 14 | 14 | (1) County Court at Law No. 1 of Cameron County; | |
| 15 | 15 | (2) County Court at Law No. 2 of Cameron County; [and] | |
| 16 | 16 | (3) County Court at Law No. 3 of Cameron County; | |
| 17 | 17 | (4) County Court at Law No. 4 of Cameron County; and | |
| 18 | 18 | (5) County Court at Law No. 5 of Cameron County. | |
| 19 | 19 | SECTION 2. Section 25.0332, Government Code, is amended by | |
| 20 | 20 | adding Subsection (b) to read as follows: | |
| 21 | 21 | (b) The County Court at Law No. 4 of Cameron County shall | |
| 22 | 22 | give preference to probate, guardianship, and mental health | |
| 23 | 23 | matters. | |
| 24 | 24 | SECTION 3. (a) The County Court at Law No. 4 of Cameron | |
| 25 | 25 | County is created on January 1, 2016. | |
| 26 | 26 | (b) The County Court at Law No. 5 of Cameron County is | |
| 27 | 27 | created on January 1, 2018. | |
| 28 | 28 | SECTION 4. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
