                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 22, 2015      TO: Honorable Joseph Pickett, Chair, House Committee on Transportation      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB1876 by Bell (Relating to providing notification to certain legislators and county judges of certain applications or notices for an electric railway project.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Transportation Code to require the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) notify each member of the House and Senate and county judge if TxDOT is notified of an application for an electric railway project or of intent to prepare an environmental impact statement for an electric railway project that would directly affect a district or county the member or judge represents.Based on the information provided by TxDOT, it is assumed any costs or duties associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.
