The bill would amend the Agriculture Code to provide that the Beef Promotion and Research Council (BPRC) of Texas may conduct meetings by telephone conference call, subject to notification requirements as described. Open meetings would have real-time audibility requirements and tape recordings would be available afterwards. The Texas Department of Agriculture indicates the agency could reasonably absorb any costs related to implementing bill provisions within the agency's existing resources.
