A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the issuance of specialty license plates for certain
county officials.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Subchapter E, Chapter 504, Transportation Code,
is amended by adding Section 504.4051 to read as follows:
Sec. 504.4051. CERTAIN COUNTY OFFICIALS. (a) In this
section, "county official" means a person who currently serves in
an elected county office, other than a person elected by precinct.
(b) The department shall issue specialty license plates for
county officials. The license plates must include the words "County
Official."
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect January 1, 2016.
