| 10 | 10 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 11 | 11 | | SECTION 1. Section 2267.001(10), Government Code, is |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | amended to read as follows: |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | (10) "Qualifying project" means: |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | (A) any ferry, mass transit facility, vehicle |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | parking facility, port facility, power generation facility, fuel |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | supply facility, oil or gas pipeline, water supply facility, public |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | work, waste treatment facility, hospital, school, medical or |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | nursing care facility, recreational facility, public building, |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | including a convention center hotel or another venue as defined by |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Section 334.001, Local Government Code, technology facility, or |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | other similar facility currently available or to be made available |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | to a governmental entity for public use, including any structure, |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | parking area, appurtenance, and other property required to operate |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | the structure or facility and any technology infrastructure |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | installed in the structure or facility that is essential to the |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | project's purpose; or |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | (B) any improvements necessary or desirable to |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | real property owned by a governmental entity. |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | SECTION 2. Section 2267.001(10), Government Code, as |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | amended by this Act, applies only to a qualifying project for which |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | an agreement is entered into on or after the effective date of this |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | Act. |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
