| 11 | 11 | amended by adding Section 21.460 to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | Sec. 21.460. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FOR TEACHERS OF | |
| 13 | 13 | GIFTED AND TALENTED STUDENTS. A teacher who provides instruction | |
| 14 | 14 | or services as part of a school's gifted and talented program shall | |
| 15 | 15 | complete six hours of professional development in gifted education | |
| 16 | 16 | specific to the subject in which the teacher provides instruction | |
| 17 | 17 | every five years. | |
| 18 | 18 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
