| 13 | 7 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 14 | 8 | | SECTION 1. Section 8176.051(a), Special District Local Laws |
|---|
| 15 | 9 | | Code, is amended to read as follows: |
|---|
| 16 | 10 | | (a) The district may construct, acquire, improve, maintain, |
|---|
| 17 | 11 | | or operate macadamized, graveled, or paved roads or turnpikes, or |
|---|
| 18 | 12 | | improvements in aid of those roads or turnpikes, inside or outside |
|---|
| 19 | 13 | | the district. |
|---|
| 20 | 14 | | SECTION 2. The Fort Bend County Municipal Utility District |
|---|
| 21 | 15 | | No. 182 retains all rights, powers, privileges, authority, duties, |
|---|
| 22 | 16 | | and functions that it had before the effective date of this Act. |

| 23 | 17 | | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
