 A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 AN ACT
 relating to information notices regarding unemployment benefits.
 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
 SECTION 1.  Section 208.001, Labor Code, is amended by
 amending Subsection (b) and adding Subsection (c) to read as
 follows:
 (b)  The commission shall supply, without cost to each
 employer, printed notices that contain the information described by
 Subsection (c) [provide general information about filing a claim
 for unemployment benefits]. Each employer shall post and maintain
 the notices in places accessible to the individuals in the employ of
 the employer.
 (c)  The notices must provide general information about
 filing a claim for unemployment benefits, including information
 regarding:
 (1)  the eligibility requirements for receiving
 unemployment benefits; and
 (2)  the potential availability of unemployment
 benefits for individuals who are partially unemployed due to a
 decrease in the individua
 l's work hours.
 SECTION 2.  Not later than December 1, 2015, the Texas
 Workforce Commission shall update the commission's information
 notices to comply with Section 208.001, Labor Code, as amended by
 this Act.
 SECTION 3.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2015.
