| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 171.1012, Tax Code, is amended by adding | |
| 11 | 11 | Subsection (u) to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | (u) If a taxable entity accredited by the Association of | |
| 13 | 13 | Zoos and Aquariums elects to subtract cost of goods sold, the cost | |
| 14 | 14 | of goods sold for the taxable entity shall be the costs described by | |
| 15 | 15 | this section in relation to the acquisition, husbandry, production, | |
| 16 | 16 | exhibition, or conservation of animals. | |
| 17 | 17 | SECTION 2. This Act applies only to a report originally due | |
| 18 | 18 | on or after the effective date of this Act. | |
| 19 | 19 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect January 1, 2016. |
