7 | 7 | relating to liability of certain electric utilities that allow | |
8 | 8 | certain uses of land that the electric utility owns, occupies, or | |

10 | 10 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
11 | 11 | SECTION 1. Section 75.0022(b), Civil Practice and Remedies | |
12 | 12 | Code, is repealed. | |
13 | 13 | SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies only | |
14 | 14 | to a cause of action that accrues on or after the effective date of | |
15 | 15 | this Act. A cause of action that accrues before the effective date | |
16 | 16 | of this Act is governed by the law applicable to the cause of action | |
17 | 17 | immediately before that date, and that law is continued in effect | |
18 | 18 | for that purpose. | |
19 | 19 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | |
20 | 20 | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | |
21 | 21 | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | |
22 | 22 | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | |
23 | 23 | Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
