| 12 | 6 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 13 | 7 | | SECTION 1. Section 2308.209(b), Occupations Code, is |
|---|
| 14 | 8 | | amended to read as follows: |
|---|
| 15 | 9 | | (b) This section applies only to the unincorporated area of |
|---|
| 16 | 10 | | a county: |
|---|
| 17 | 11 | | (1) with a population of 450,000 [550,000] or more |
|---|
| 18 | 12 | | that is adjacent to a county with a population of 3.3 million or |
|---|
| 19 | 13 | | more; |
|---|
| 20 | 14 | | (2) with a population of less than 10,000 that is |
|---|
| 21 | 15 | | located in a national forest; or |
|---|
| 22 | 16 | | (3) adjacent to a county described by Subdivision (2) |
|---|
| 23 | 17 | | that has a population of less than 75,000. |

| 24 | 18 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|---|
| 25 | 19 | | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|---|
| 26 | 20 | | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|---|
| 27 | 21 | | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |

| 28 | 22 | | Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
