| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Subchapter Z, Chapter 212, Local Government | |
| 11 | 11 | Code, is amended by adding Section 212.905 to read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | Sec. 212.905. EXTENSION OF RULES RELATING TO WIND TURBINES | |
| 13 | 13 | TO EXTRATERRITORIAL JURISDICTION. The governing body of a | |
| 14 | 14 | municipality by ordinance may extend to the extraterritorial | |
| 15 | 15 | jurisdiction of the municipality the application of municipal | |
| 16 | 16 | ordinances relating to the authorization and development of wind | |
| 17 | 17 | turbines. | |
| 18 | 18 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | |
| 19 | 19 | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | |
| 20 | 20 | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | |
| 21 | 21 | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | |
| 22 | 22 | Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
