125 relating to designating January as Human Trafficking Prevention

147 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
158 SECTION 1. Subchapter D, Chapter 662, Government Code, is
169 amended by adding Section 662.107 to read as follows:
1710 Sec. 662.107. HUMAN TRAFFICKING PREVENTION MONTH.
1811 (a) January is Human Trafficking Prevention Month to increase
1912 awareness of human trafficking in an effort to encourage people to
2013 alert authorities to any suspected incidents involving human
2114 trafficking.
2215 (b) Human Trafficking Prevention Month may be regularly
2316 observed through appropriate activities in public schools and other
2417 places to increase awareness and prevention of human trafficking.
2518 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015.
