| 10 | 10 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 11 | 11 | SECTION 1. Section 351.153(b), Occupations Code, is amended | |
| 12 | 12 | to read as follows: | |
| 13 | 13 | (b) Of each additional fee collected, $50 shall be deposited | |
| 14 | 14 | in the foundation school fund and $150 shall be deposited in the | |
| 15 | 15 | University of Houston development [general revenue] fund to be used | |
| 16 | 16 | solely by the University of Houston College of Optometry, as | |
| 17 | 17 | provided by Section 351.154(b), at the discretion of the | |
| 18 | 18 | appropriate administrators of the institution. | |
| 19 | 19 | SECTION 2. Section 351.154(b), Occupations Code, is amended | |
| 20 | 20 | to read as follows: | |
| 21 | 21 | (b) The board shall deposit in the University of Houston | |
| 22 | 22 | development fund 15 percent of each annual renewal fee collected by | |
| 23 | 23 | the board under Section 351.152. The money paid to that fund under | |
| 24 | 24 | Section 351.153(b) and this subsection may be used solely for | |
| 25 | 25 | scholarships or improvements in the physical facilities, including | |
| 26 | 26 | library facilities, of the College of Optometry. | |
| 27 | 27 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
