| 10 | 10 | SECTION 1. Section 172.022(a), Election Code, is amended to | |
| 11 | 11 | read as follows: | |
| 12 | 12 | (a) An application for a place on the general primary | |
| 13 | 13 | election ballot must be filed with: | |
| 14 | 14 | (1) the state chair, for: | |
| 15 | 15 | (A) a congressional or legislative office; or | |
| 16 | 16 | (B) an office filled by voters of more than one | |
| 17 | 17 | county; or | |
| 18 | 18 | (2) the county chair or the secretary, if any, of the | |
| 19 | 19 | county executive committee, for an office filled by voters of a | |
| 20 | 20 | single county other than a congressional or legislative office. | |
| 21 | 21 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
