10 | 10 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
11 | 11 | SECTION 1. Section 242.040, Health and Safety Code, is | |
12 | 12 | amended by adding Subsection (g) to read as follows: | |
13 | 13 | (g) The executive commissioner by rule shall adopt a | |
14 | 14 | definition of "Alzheimer's disease and related disorders," and may | |
15 | 15 | adopt by reference a definition published in a generally accepted | |
16 | 16 | clinical resource for medical professionals. The executive | |
17 | 17 | commissioner shall modify the definition as necessary to conform to | |
18 | 18 | changes in medical practice. | |
19 | 19 | SECTION 2. Section 247.029, Health and Safety Code, is | |
20 | 20 | amended by adding Subsection (d) to read as follows: | |
