10 | 10 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

11 | 11 | | SECTION 1. Section 86.0011, Family Code, is amended to read |
---|
12 | 12 | | as follows: |

13 | 13 | | Sec. 86.0011. DUTY TO ENTER INFORMATION INTO STATEWIDE LAW |
---|
14 | 14 | | ENFORCEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM. On receipt of an original or |
---|
15 | 15 | | modified protective order from the clerk of the issuing court, a law |
---|
16 | 16 | | enforcement agency shall immediately, but not later than the third |
---|
17 | 17 | | business [10th] day after the date the order is received, enter the |
---|
18 | 18 | | information required by Section 411.042(b)(6), Government Code, |
---|
19 | 19 | | into the statewide law enforcement information system maintained by |
---|
20 | 20 | | the Department of Public Safety. |
---|
21 | 21 | | SECTION 2. Section 86.0011, Family Code, as amended by this |
---|
22 | 22 | | Act, applies only to a protective order received by a law |
---|
23 | 23 | | enforcement agency on or after the effective date of this Act. |
---|
24 | 24 | | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
