| 13 | 7 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 14 | 8 | | SECTION 1. Subtitle A, Title 11, Business & Commerce Code, |

| 15 | 9 | | is amended by adding Chapter 506 to read as follows: |
|---|
| 16 | 10 | | CHAPTER 506. CONCEALED HANDGUN LICENSES AS VALID FORMS OF |
|---|
| 17 | 11 | | PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION |
|---|
| 18 | 12 | | Sec. 506.001. CONCEALED HANDGUN LICENSE AS VALID PROOF OF |
|---|
| 19 | 13 | | IDENTIFICATION. (a) A person may not deny the holder of a |
|---|
| 20 | 14 | | concealed handgun license issued under Subchapter H, Chapter 411, |
|---|
| 21 | 15 | | Government Code, access to goods, services, or facilities, except |
|---|
| 22 | 16 | | as provided by Section 521.460, Transportation Code, or in regard |
|---|
| 23 | 17 | | to the operation of a motor vehicle, because the holder has or |
|---|
| 24 | 18 | | presents a concealed handgun license rather than a driver's license |
|---|
| 25 | 19 | | or other acceptable form of personal identification. |
|---|
| 26 | 20 | | (b) This section does not affect: |
|---|
| 27 | 21 | | (1) the requirement under Section 411.205, Government |
|---|
| 28 | 22 | | Code, that a person subject to that section present a driver's |
|---|
| 29 | 23 | | license or identification certificate in addition to a concealed |
|---|
| 30 | 24 | | handgun license; or |
|---|
| 31 | 25 | | (2) the types of identification required under federal |
|---|
| 32 | 26 | | law to access airport premises or pass through airport security. |
|---|
| 33 | 27 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
