235 relating to employment activities of certain emergency response
246 personnel for purposes of the Texas Workers' Compensation Act.
257 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
268 SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 401, Labor Code, is
279 amended by adding Section 401.026 to read as follows:
2810 Sec. 401.026. APPLICABILITY TO CERTAIN EMERGENCY RESPONSE
2911 PERSONNEL. For purposes of this subtitle, the travel of a
3012 firefighter or emergency medical personnel en route to an emergency
3113 call is considered to be in the course and scope of the
3214 firefighter's or emergency medical personnel's employment.
3315 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015.
