| 11 | 11 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 12 | 12 | | SECTION 1. Subchapter G, Chapter 504, Transportation Code, |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | is amended by adding Section 504.665 to read as follows: |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Sec. 504.665. TEXAS MEDICAL CENTER LICENSE PLATES. (a) The |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | department shall issue Texas Medical Center specialty license |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | plates. The department shall design the license plates in |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | consultation with Texas Medical Center. |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | (b) After deduction of the department's administrative |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | costs, the remainder of the fee for issuance of the license plates |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | shall be deposited to the credit of an account created by the |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | comptroller in the manner provided by Section 504.6012(b). Money |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | deposited to that account may be used only by the comptroller to |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | provide grants to benefit Texas Medical Center and member |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | institutions of Texas Medical Center. |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2015. |
