                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 84TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 20, 2015      TO: Honorable Jim Murphy, Chair, House Committee on Corrections      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB309 by White, James (Relating to a study on the feasibility and potential costs and benefits of implementing a pay-for-performance contract program for certain juvenile justice programs and services.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would require the Texas Juvenile Justice Department (TJJD) to conduct a study to determine the feasibility and potential costs and benefits to the state of implementing a pay-for-performance contract program for certain juvenile justice programs and services. TJJD would be required to submit a report, no later than November 1, 2016, on the results of the study. The bill would take effect immediately upon receiving a two-thirds majority vote in each house, otherwise thebill would take effect September 1, 2015.
