The bill would amend the Local Government Code to modify the method to create a municipal management district (MMD), the appointment and qualifications of directors of a MMD, the area a MMD could provide services to, requirements of certain petitions, and dissolution requirements. The bill would repeal Section 375.064(b), (c), and (e), Local Government Code. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
