The bill would amend the Texas Business Code to adopt by reference portions of the National Fire Protection Association NFPA 1194, Standard for Recreational Vehicle Parks and Campgrounds, 2014 Edition. The bill would prohibit government entities in the state from imposing stricter standards on the construction standards related to recreational vehicle parks or campgrounds.Based on information provided by the Parks and Wildlife Department, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be implemented by utilizing existing resources. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
